At the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Friday January 2, 2015, after a brief illness. Loved husband of the late Marguerite (McEwan) Katz (1982). Dear companion for 30 years of Rosalyn Travers and her daughter Lisa. Cherished father of Rose Katz, Gladys Katz, Nancy (Peter Grampola), Dee Dee (Raymond Leach), Fran (Dale Johnston) and Lisa Katz. Dave is survived by 18 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his grandson David.Cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held from the funeral chapel of HETHERINGTON AND DEANS 5176 Victoria Ave. at a later date. The family wishes to express their thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of the GNGH, Unit D and special thanks to cousin Julie for her care and compassion for David.
