Donald John Perry Coleman

of Niagara Falls passed away peacefully at the Grand River Hospital - Freeport Health Centre in Kitchener on August 31, 2010 at 87 years of age. Loving husband of the late Nancy Coleman (nee Poole - 2004). Sadly missed by his children Kent of Regina, SK, Mark of Sault Ste. Marie, Mary Ann of Waterford, NB, and Jennifer (Darcy Kroeker) of Kitchener. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Adrian (Leslie), Troy, Alastair (Karla), Susan (Jeffrey Forester), Jessica (Michael Mason), Alison, Patrick, Kennedy, Jeffrey (Jessica Tremaine), & Laura, and by 12 great grandchildren. Survived by his special friend June Smiley. Predeceased by his grandson Scott of Edmonton, AB, his brothers Ted & Howard, his sisters Frances Gilbert & Helen Gibbard, and sister-in-law Fran Lewis, all of the Ottawa area. Donald was a longtime employee of General Motors, a former member of the Niagara Falls Curling Club and the Queenston Golf Club, he also enjoyed playing bridge at the Dunlop Centre.

Family and friends will be received at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls, 905-354-5614 on Friday evening from 7 - 9 p.m., and Saturday evening from 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Stamford United Church, 3855 St. Peter Avenue, Niagara Falls on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. Interment service at MacLaren Cemetery, Mill Road, Wakefield, QC on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 11 a.m.
