WEAVER, DONALD 'Don' - Today, our hearts are heavy as we come together to remember and honour the life of Donald 'Don' Weaver, who passed away unexpectedly at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at the age of 77. In this time of grief, we find comfort in cherishing the memories of a man who touched the lives of so many. Don was a devoted husband to Olga (nee Abreu) and a loving father to Darrin Weaver (Patricia Green), Terri (Paul) Duarte, Christina (Carlos) Clavero, and Greg (Lindsay) Weaver. He was a cherished grandfather to Victoria Weaver, Matthew, and Joseph Duarte, Justin and Alexa Clavero, Norah, and Claire Weaver. The bond he shared with his family was a testament to the warmth and care he brought into their lives. As we reflect on Don's journey, we recall his dedication to his work at Acres and Hatch Engineering for over five decades until his retirement. His role as a project manager took him across the globe, allowing him to experience the diverse cultures of Africa, Asia, and North America. This passion for travel enriched his life and left a lasting impression on those around him. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Don found joy in simple pleasures. Gardening and fishing were his favourite pastimes, offering moments of tranquility and connection with nature. Moreover, he had a gift for humour that brightened the days of all who knew him. In the midst of our sorrow, we take solace in knowing that Don now rests peacefully, joining his beloved parents, Ross and Olive Weaver, who preceded him in death. Let us come together not only to grieve but also to embrace the love, compassion, and fond memories that Don shared with us throughout his life. May we find strength in each other during this challenging time and remember Don with the utmost compassion and care he would have bestowed upon us. Please join us in celebrating Don's life on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St., Niagara Falls. Visitation will take place from 1 to 4 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 4 pm. Cremation has already taken place, and interment will be held at a later date.
