BARNES, Ed - Peacefully passed, in Linda's arms from this life to the loving arms of his Saviour Jesus Christ. 'Home at last', on Thursday September 4, 2014 at the age of 64. Beloved husband of 46 years to Linda (Chevalier) Barnes. Dearly loved father of Bob (Lisa) and Doug (Merilena) Barnes. Cherished Ba of Robin (Ben) Raven, Harrison Barnes (Julia Cranfield), Julianna (Kyle) Shirton, Virginia, Victoria and Deanna Barnes. Dear brother of Louis (the late Margaret), Robert (the late Barbara) and Joe (Rose) Barnes, Leona (the late Archie) McPhail, Julie Whitsitt (Ken), Florence (Robert) Daniel, Teresa (the late Bill) Smith and Marie (Brian) Cook. Dear brother-in-law of Tom (Bette Ann), Lee, Guy (Sharon) and Earl (Sharon) Chevalier and Irene (the late Michael) Cairns. Ed will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends, especially Rick Bernard, Tim Harrold and Sam Blakeley. Ed was a businessman who, together with his partners and good friends Mike Davey and Norm Pelletier, owned and operated Value Muffler and Brake on Drummond Road. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME , 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service in celebration of his life will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Private family interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Ed, donations in lieu of flowers to Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by his family.
