Passed away surrounded by her family at her home on Thursday, December 19, 2013 in her 90th year. Wife of the late William Coombes (1983). Loving mother of Robert (Susan), James (Annette), Gerri (Harry) Strik, and Kathy (John ) Upper. Cherished grandma of Sharon (Terry), Lori (Chris), Caitlin (Colin), Sarah, Eric, Amanda, and the late Kristin Coombes. Great grandma of Ryan, Tallyn, Kenleigh, and Miley. Beloved sister of Ken Wattam (late wife Marion), the late Dorothy Lapp (late husband Harold), and the late Harold Wattam. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Edna was a longtime member at the Coronation Centre.
Family & Friends will be received at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue on Sunday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 11 AM. Interment in Fairview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the C.N.I.B. or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
