Ed was the devoted and loving husband of the late Rena (née Bruni) for 72 years. He was the cherished father of Ralph (Gloria), the late Sandra Gero, Frank (Terry), and Ron (Vernice). A proud and deeply admired grandfather, Ed will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Adam (Andrea), Ryan (Amanda), and Vanessa (Alex), as well as his great-grandchildren, Avery, Gabriel, Bruno, and Elliott. Dear brother in law of Gertie, Mario and his late wife Myrna and the late Mike and his late wife Theresa. Predeceased by his infant son Ronald Joseph, his grandson James Edward, his brothers Maurice and Louis, and his sister-in-law Rosetta, Ed's memory will live on in the hearts of many extended family members and friends.
Ed's remarkable life was grounded in faith, family, and an unwavering commitment to his community. He worked for Ford Glass for 27 years and led a life of service in many ways. From delivering milk, to working as a miner and firefighter, Ed's work ethic was unmatched. He was a dedicated volunteer with the Red Cross and an honorary lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, always contributing where he could.
Ed's legacy will live on as an asset to both his family and his community. We are grateful to the Palliative Care team at GNGH for their exceptional care and kindness in his final days.
