Hard to believe so much time has passed since Eleanor and I first met. Lundy's Lane  (SSno.6) Public School, through Girl Guides, through Stamford CVI and finally into nurses' training at GNGH where she was a treasured classmate. So many memories.

My sincere condolences on the passing of Eleanor.  I grew up across the street (still there) and have lots of memories of the Atkinson family.  I also knew Eleanor when she worked at the hospital when I was there too.  I don't know if you remember but you drove me to Toronto many times.  May Eleanor Rest In Peace after a life of service.

We will always remember Aunt Eleanor. She was a kind and wonderful person. We had many wonderful visits over the years, as far back as I can remember. In the more recent years she especially delighted in seeing Addison & Mason and always remarked on how they are growing up.

Please accept my condolences on Eleanor's passing. She was such a good friend to our family. I remember years ago on Midland Ave, the parents playing bridge and us kids playing all the time.
Then she and the "bridge ladies" playing bridge and having their dinners every month.
Eleanor was so kind and supportive to my mom, especially after my dad passed.
I will always remember Eleanor fondly.

Mom and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of Eleanor.  I wish we could be there to hug you all, but our love and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
It’s been so long since I’ve seen Eleanor because I live in California.  I do remember the day of Tom and Sherry’s wedding and how bubbly Eleanor was!  I’ve always loved pottery and Eleanor was showing me all the beautiful pieces in her home.
Mom has always said how sweet Eleanor was and witty!  We do know that she and Jim raised two wonderful daughters, Sherry being a daughter in law to mom and a sister in law to me.  What a blessing to have a wonderful mom and wife as Eleanor.
She WILL be reunited with her family again someday, but until then,  may Eleanor rest in peace with our Eternal Father in heaven!

Here is a photo of my bright and stylish aunt in the 1960s (with Sherry and my grandparents Helen and Clare Hedden -- at Dufferin Islands).  Brenda and I always received a warm welcome, interesting conversation, and fine food and wine when we were the guests at Aunt Eleanor and Uncle Jim's home.
