Liz was surrounded by those she loved most. Liz worked as a dedicated nurse for over 25 years in the Niagara Falls Emergency Department, as well as a few years at St. Catharines Hospital in the Mental Health Unit. Liz loved being a nurse, and it was shown through her work and the connections she made with patients and their families. She had a huge heart and unmatched sense of humour, which made her perfect for the job. Her smile and caring nature made you feel truly taken care of.
Predeceased by her loving mother, Marie Brooks, and survived by her father, Roy Philpott. Loving mother of Alyssa (Alex) and Matthew. Sister to Debbie (Ray) and Roy Jr. Amazing Auntie to Tammy, Maddison, Thomas, Matthew, Joshua, and Kyleigh, and bonus Auntie to her friends’ children, whom she loved with her whole heart. Predeceased by her soul sister, Maria Bonadio, who she missed greatly. She will be lovingly remembered by her many dear friends and extended family, both near and far, including Barb, Pattie, Evelyn, Val, Kimmie, Jenn, Lorie, Lucy, Kelly, Maria, Cameron, Christine, and Brian, as well as many more who should be mentioned. Bonus mom to Brittany Marr and Shannon Cornelissen.
A special thank you to the wonderful nursing staff (Colleen, Trina, and Melanie) and Dr. Chaudhry, who helped our mother on her journey.
