I was lucky enough to work alongside Liz for many years in the ED. She always demonstrated compassion and patience both with her patients, colleagues and students. Her sense of humour meant we always had fun when she was on shift. Her distinct laugh could be heard throughout the department. The world truly lost a bright soul. Liz will be deeply missed by all.

The mom I used to call “other mother” while teaching Alyssa at dance many many (far to many manys) years ago turned into the amazing lady I had the pleasure of calling my friend.  Always with a smile on her face and something hilarious coming out of her mouth … she brightened the day of everyone around her.  There will never be enough time and space to put into words all the memories and thoughts of Liz that bring a smile to my heart. You will be missed forever but remembered always.  xoxo

I am truly sorry for your loss of a most beautiful woman and mother. I knew her briefly through the loving devotion, love and care she brought to her soul mate Maria Bonadio. She was a great strength to me during that time and I hope I was somewhat to her. They are now together in heavenly ways. My loving thoughts to you.

Liz was consistently the person in the Emergency Department who would reach out to offer encouragement, a warm smile, or a supportive shoulder during those particularly challenging situations. It was my distinct pleasure to work with Liz for several years during my time with Niagara EMS. Liz was an exceptional nurse and genuinely the most compassionate, delightful, and heartfelt person I have had the privilege of knowing in this journey we call life. I will forever treasure the numerous moments of laughter and tears we shared, especially during shifts when a friend's presence was truly invaluable. My heart sinks that the world is a less joyous place now that you are no longer in it.  I worked with Liz for years in the GNG ED sharing many laughs and the occasional tears too.  Rest in peace, my friend.  You are surely missed by many.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Your mother, Liz, was such a light in my life. We shared so many laughs and quiet little moments that others didn’t always see, and those are memories I will always cherish.

She was an incredibly compassionate nurse who remained calm even in the most chaotic situations. She taught me so much—about nursing, about life, and about kindness—and her impact on me will never be forgotten. I will miss her terribly.

I worked with Liz in GNG ER. I was the crisis worker and she was often the nurse assigned to the patients I saw. She was great. We always had so many laughs and to this day, I still laugh about one day in particular when we were called some interesting names by a patient… I’ll always remember her fondly. Rest easy, old friend.

A fond memory 
One Christmas when Liz was a young single mom with her first baby (Alysssa) the weight of the holidays felt especially heavy. 
That year a "Secret Santa"showed up with a turkey stuffing and all the fixings for a holiday dinner . He also brought toys for her baby and a small gift card for her. 
Liz never knew who it was from . I always felt she deserved that kind of kindness . Her resilience ,warmth , love and friendship will live on in my heart forever.

Liz, as a new grad, you took me under your wing and showed me the ways of ER. During my time at GNGH, we grew from colleagues into friends, and I will always be grateful for the laughter we shared and the wonderful memories we created. 

Heaven has gained a strong, funny, intelligent, compassionate, and kickass nurse, who's gone way too soon.
