Fokelina Koiter

Gone to be in her Saviour’s Glory, Lena passed peaceful on Saturday, June 10th, 2017 in her 79th year at the St.Catharines site of N.H.S. Back in the loving arms of her husband Warner Koiter (1993). Cherished mother of Evelyn (John) MacMaster, Margaret (Paul) Guentner, Sylvia (Ray) Neufeld and Lena (Clint) Brian. Beloved Oma of 15 grandchildren – Sara, Kristina and Nicole Brian, Kyle and Katelynn Neufeld, Kari and Jared Guentner, and Elisia (Andy) McKenna, Lenora, Megan, John, Katherine, Rachel, Genevieve MacMaster.

Will be deeply missed by her sisters, brothers and their families – Mennie (Jack) Buitenwerf, late Bert (Akkie) VanderWal, Elly (Peter) Brandsma, late John (late Ann) VanderWal, late Henry (Ada) VanderWal, Chris (Bess) VanderWal.

A true testament of resilience, strength and dignity until the end. Through her example we learned what it is to be a faithful servant. Knowing she now walks beside our heavenly father for all of eternity and thankful she is now resting peacefully.

Family and friends will be received at HETHERINGTON & DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5176 Victoria Avenue (905-354-5614) on Tuesday, June 13th, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A burial service will be held at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery, Niagara Falls on Wednesday, June 14th, 2017 at 10:00am, please be at the funeral home for 9:30 am. A memorial service will follow at Faith Fellowship CRC at 11am. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
