OBITUARY
Francesco Tanzi
October 20, 1931 – January 1, 2021
TANZI, Francesco (Frank) – Peacefully on New Year’s Day in his 90th year, Frank went home to heaven, reunited with his beloved wife of 64 years, Angiolina (2020). (They referred to each other as Romeo and Juliet). Proud and loving father of Sally (Joe) Baldinelli, Diana (Len) Theriault and Lisa (Mark) Johns. Adored Nono of Anthony (Amanda), Stephen (Melina), Joseph (Sabina), Katherine (Andrew), Nicholas, Natalie, and Christina. Great grandfather to Aubrey, Preston, Ava, and Jaclyn. Dear brother of Rosa Ventola (Italy). Predeceased by his parents: Salvatore and Angela Tanzi; and his siblings: Angelo Tanzi, Antonio Tanzi, Maria D’Amario, and many brothers and sisters in law and nephews, that he loved dearly. Frank has been joyfully reunited with his infant son Sam (1958) and is embracing his great grandson Leo Joseph (2019). He will be lovingly remembered by his brother-in laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Frank was a longtime, devout member of Our Lady of the Scapular Church and Club Italia. Frank was hearing impaired, later in life, from a work related injury but you would never know it. He was a natural and compelling story teller who never let his disability exclude him. He was in his glory when he was in his spot at the head of the table surrounded by family and friends who were riveted by his stories. Frank’s legacy includes his deep abiding faith, his hard work ethic and his love of his family. Frank enjoyed preparing delicious meals with Angie and spending time outside, especially in his vegetable garden. He delighted in countless vacation adventures most especially Mexico and Florida and watching any and all sports. Until a few years ago, when he was disabled as a result of a stroke, he ended every day with a delicious meal and a glass of his home made wine. That’s where we see him now. Cheers to you in heaven! He was a truly unique, larger than life personality who will be lovingly remembered as the patriarch of his large, loving family.

Dear Lisa, Mark, Natalie and Christina, Sally, Diana and Families,
I am so very sorry to hear about your Dads passing. I remember your Dad Frank and my Dad sat at the same table at Valley Park Lodge. They both had the best appetites and would eat all their food and have seconds if it was offered to them. Your Dad is reunited with his beloved wife Angie again. I am sure he missed her terribly. God Bless them both. I am sure you feel at peace knowing they are together again and having coffee together.
