Glenna Margaret Ingold

July 13, 1926 – February 28, 2017

Peacefully, at Greater Niagara General Hospital on February 28, 2017, in her 91st year. Predeceased by her parents, George and Angelina Ingold, sisters Ruth and Joyce and brother, Frank Ingold. Survived by nieces Debra (Ernie) Jones, Pamela and Patricia, and nephews Frank (Jane) and Timothy (Heidi); great aunt to Aaron Jones (Dawn), Katy Jones, Tim Jones (Katie), Elizabeth and Alexandra Ingold; great great aunt to Sam, Gracie, Harper, Rylie and Sawyer Jones, and long-time friend and neighbour, Judy Keep.

Glenna was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and member of Grace Gospel Church. She obtained her B.A. at the University of Western Ontario, and her M.A. at the University of London. She had a long career teaching enrichment classes at Memorial, Diamond Jubilee and Battlefield Schools, garnering much recognition along the way. During summer breaks, she travelled all over the world, and taught in Africa, Indonesia and Guatemala. In her well-deserved retirement, she devoted herself to volunteer work and spending her winters in Mexico.

A special thanks to the staff at GNGH and Bella Care for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Stabler Center, Hospice Niagara and Grace Gospel Church.

The family will receive visitors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday March 4, 2017 at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
