

Passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2014 in his 87th year at Extendicare, St. Catharines, Ontario. Loving husband of Evelyn for 66 years. Dear father of Lynne (Dan) Willette, Mark (Sheila) Bazeley, and Tim (Carol) Bazeley. Grandfather to Stephanie (Adam) Savoie, Adam (Fran) Bazeley, Laura (Brandon) Little, Jennifer (Jim) Bazeley. Great Grandfather to Myriah and Rhys Savoie, Brielle Little, Erica and David Bacon. Predeceased by his parents William and Edith Bazeley and his brother Bill Bazeley. Jim lived most of his life in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He enlisted in the army during the latter part of WWII and trained in Halifax, NS. After the war he worked as a mechanic with his dad at Bazeley Bear Alignment. In 1963 he turned his love and care of animals into his business by opening Victoria Aquarium pet shop and in 1976 he began manufacturing pet collars, leads, leashes and assorted pet supplies at A brand Leather. Jim was a skilled craftsman and had a large array of KOI ponds and tropical fish. He was a founding member of CAOAC (Canadian Association of Aquarium Clubs) and won many awards for breeding varieties of fish. The family wishes to thank Extendicare for all their help and concern. There will be no service at the request of the deceased.
