Peacefully passed away in his sleep at Eventide Home on Thursday, January 6, 2022 after a lengthy illness, at the age of 63. Predeceased by his parents James and Phyllis Findlater. Cherished brother of Sandra (Glen) Brooks, Sherry Findlater and Stacia (Mike) Kelso. Loving uncle of Erin (Kurt) Bokma and Alan Kelso. Great-uncle of Keaton and Declan.
Jay was employed with Casino Niagara since 1995. He graduated as a Horticultural Technician and was known for his meticulous gardens. He also cherished his time at the family cottage in Temagami, Ontario.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and was entrusted to Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel (905-354-5614). A private burial will be held in the spring at Fairview Cemetery.
