LANE, James 'Jim' - Passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Tuesday July 11, 2023 at the Greater Niagara Hospital at the age of 85. Beloved partner and wife of 36 years to Madeline (nee Standing) and cherished father of Sandy Laverty, Deborah Hunt, Jimmy (Valerie) Lane and Cathy (Pete) Smith.  Loving stepfather of Kelly Gonzalez, Donnie (Brenda) Edwardson and Vanessa (Ryan) Coens. He is survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and sister Carol White. Jim worked for Fraser (Provincial Paper Company) until his retirement at 56 years old. Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Patterson Funeral Home.
