Surrounded by his family which he treasured, Jans went home to the loving arms of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the age of 92. We rejoice that, as he longed for, he is now reunited with his dear wife Elizabeth (Bets) who passed away in 2010.
He will be dearly missed by his children Joann (Ed) Breimer, Henry, Lisa (Kipp) Grady, and Diana (Ted) Wiens as well as seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
He will be remembered for his unshakeable faith, his ability to be content in all life’s circumstances and his joy at being surrounded by family.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Heatherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls. Graveside Burial Service will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. David’s Cemetery followed by the Celebration of Life at Faith Christian Reformed Church, 4878 Jepson at 11:00 a.m.
