Peacefully passed away at River Road Retirement Residence on Friday, December 31, 2021. Predeceased by her husband James “Jim” Dodd (2005), her daughter Lynn Welsh (2015) and her great-grandson Zane Gusek. Survived by her grandchildren Lisa Agar Gusek and David Agar, as well as her great-grandchildren Jesse and Eliana Gusek. Special Nana of Amanda George. Predeceased by her siblings: Mae Brideau, Dorothy Bingham, Ken Jones, Douglas Jones, and Marguerite Stevens. She will be remembered by her nieces and nephews: Cheryl (David), Debbie (Jim), Sandy (Steve), Danny, Darlene, Jim, Randy, Laura, Marguerite, Loretta, and Leslie, as well as many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Jean was a lifetime member of Christ Church and the recipient of the Anglican Order of Niagara for her charitable contributions to her church and community.
In keeping with Jean’s wishes, cremation has taken place and entrusted to Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel (905-354-5614). A graveside service will be held at a later date.
