Julia "June" Alsop

June Alsop passed away peacefully, leaving behind a family who loved her deeply and will carry her spirit forever. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Ron Alsop.

June was the cherished daughter of Christina and Paul DiBatista, and a loving sister. She will be joining her siblings Alec, Rosie, Kay, Lizzy, and Connie, and leaves behind her dear sisters Polly and Sadie, and sister-in-law Ann DiBatista.

She was a devoted mother to her three children, Fred Alsop, Tina Alsop, and Ron Alsop (Shelley Alsop). She was a proud grandmother to Lee Alsop (Marla Monteleone), Michael Alsop, Alexa Alsop (Brian Gomez), and Alysha Alsop, and a treasured great-grandmother to Khloe, Leo, Ari, Benni, Isaac, and Luna.

June was known for her incredible strength, her sharp sense of humor, and her ability to light up every room she entered. She had a lifelong love for Pepsi, cheered faithfully for the Toronto Blue Jays, and found great joy and peace tending to her garden. These simple pleasures reflected the warmth, loyalty, and care she showed to everyone around her.

She brought laughter, love, and resilience into the lives of all who knew her. Her stories, her smile, and her unwavering love will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In keeping with June's wishes, cremation has taken place.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday February 7th 2026 from 10:00am -11:00am at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls.

A Celebration of June's Life will take place in the funeral chapel at 11:00 am followed by a Rite of Committal at Fairview Cemetery.
