Kathleen Maria Sheppard

Passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Saturday December 28, 2013, in her 97th year. Predeceased by her husband, Fred, December 1988, “Kit” will be sadly missed by her daughter Susan Booth (Roger); Grandchildren, Joanne Howard (Ryan), Paula Schulz (Brian) & Great Grandchildren Coleton, Delaney, Cameron, Lucas & Nathan. Kathleen was born in Hampshire, England June 24, 1917 and Emigrated to Canada in 1983 to be with her only daughter & family.

Over the past few months, while Kit was in gradually failing health, the family has been grateful for the friendship and assistance of CCAC home care staff, especially Mary, Dorothea, Margo & Debbie. In the final week, the kindness and consideration of GNGH staff on Unit C was greatly appreciated.

Cremation has taken place and the family will receive friends at the Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Ave., Niagara Falls on Friday January 3rd, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. A short Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
