It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a beloved member of our community; Larry Ross Storm Sr. on Monday October 13th in his 79th year. Larry was surrounded by his loving daughter Marianne, as well as members of his family at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. Larry has joined the love of his life in heaven; Joan (Boobaby) Storm (nee Marazzo). He was the youngest of 13 children and is survived by his daughter Marianne and son in law Marco, his grandkids Nico (Rochelle), Jesse and Grace. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews including George (Teaghan) Storm.
Larry began his meat cutting skills at the age of 6 on the family farm in Stevensville, Ontario before becoming a meat cutter at the old Dominion stores. Larry then owned and operated Storms Meat and Deli for over 30 years where he served the community well. He was affiliated with a great number of charities including the Humane Society and was a huge supporter of first responders and hospital staff. He was a Deputy Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus, President of the Holy Name Society at St Ann’s Church and was a Cub Leader.
Everyone that came across Larry enjoyed his unique sense of humour, warm smile and his love for the Leafs (just kidding). Larry was a one of kind character only surpassed by his work ethic. Working 7 days per week into his 70’s is the mark of a truly unique individual. The outpouring of support and condolences he’s received is a true testament to the man he was, and he will be missed by all.
The family would like to express gratitude to all those that assisted us on Monday including Sandro Balice, the fantastic job of the members of 911 dispatch, the Niagara Falls Fire Department, paramedics and members of the Niagara Falls Police Department as well as the tremendous staff, nurses and doctors of the GNGH; especially Dina and Lori. A special thank you to Holly, RuthAnn and the staff at Patterson Funeral Home.
As per his wishes (Larry’s way), cremation has taken place. The family would like the community to join them in a true Celebration of his life on Sunday, November 2, 2025 between 1:00 and 5:00 pm at the Columbus Club of Niagara Falls at Our Lady of Peace Hall, 6990 Stanley Ave. across from the Scotia Bank Convention Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Niagara Falls Humane Society, a charity near and dear to Larry’s heart.
