Linda May Ann (Rissanen) Dickson

It is with profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Linda on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 surrounded by the presence and love of her four children; at the age of 86. Loving Mom of Robert, Mark, Murray (Virginia), and Katherine Dickson. Cherished Grandma of Adam, James (Marcus), Christopher (Cassidy), Erica (Liam), and Emma. Great-grandmother of Blake. Dear sister of Leonard Rissanen and Diane (Doug) Parker. Predeceased by her husband Dorlan Dickson. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and many friends.

Linda was a proud Veteran having served with the R.C.A.F. She previously worked for the Government of Upper Canada before moving to the Niagara Parks Commission until her retirement. She was an avid lover of animals with a special soft spot for cats. She could often be found at the local BINGO halls and thoroughly enjoyed the thrill of gambling. She absolutely loved the drama of her daytime soap operas, and don’t you dare think of changing the channel while they were on!

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Ave. Niagara Falls from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow with interment at Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
