Maria D'Amario

Surrounded by her loving family, Maria passed away at Hotel Dieu – Shaver Hospital on Monday, December 9, 2013. Loving wife of the late Mario D’Amario (1970). Beloved mother of Adele (Michael) Brown, Louisa (Paul) Diamond, Robert (Allison), and Tony (Carole), all of Niagara Falls. Missed by her grandchildren Kristen, Daniel, Kara, Erin, Hannah, Nathan, Griffin, Gabrielle, Geordie, Zachary, and Dante. Survived by her brother Frank Tanzi (Angelina), and by her sister Rosa (Ferdinand) Ventola. Special aunt to Angela, and fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by her brothers Angelo and Antonio. Maria was an active member of Saint Patrick’s Church Catholic Women’s League, and volunteered with the Out of the Cold Program as well as at the Salvation Army - Eventide Home.

Family and friends will be received at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue on Wednesday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM, with a prayer vigil taking place at 2 o’clock. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 11 AM at Saint Patrick’s Church, 4673 Victoria Avenue. Interment in Fairview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Out of the Cold Program, St. Vincent de Paul Society, or the Hotel Dieu – Shaver Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
