GOUVEIA, Maria Higina (nee de Freitas) - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Wednesday May 31, 2023 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Decio S. Gouveia and cherished mother of Jose Orlando (Alicia) Gouveia, Rosa (Bernard) Freitas. Loving grandmother of Keith (Maria) Freitas, Kevin (Louisa) Freitas, Jackelyn (Scott) MacKenzie, Jorge Gouveia, Rudy (Alison) Pereira, Dany Gouveia and great-grandmother of Emily, Ryan,Troy, Mya,Charlie, Antonio, Fiorela, Valentino, Camelia, and Rafael. She will be fondly remembered by her sister Zelia Florenca. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Saturday June 3, 2023 from 10 to 11 am.
