SEBASTIANO, Maria Luce (nee Gulla) - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Hospice Niagara on Tuesday January 28, 2025 at the age of 73. Beloved wife of 46 treasured years to Livio 'Luigi'. Cherished mother of Maria (Tony) Di Filippo, Theresa (Paul) LaFratta and loving Nonna of Matteo, Marco, Siena, Gabriella, Mia. She will be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Vittoria Gulla, Anna (Adolfo) Taddeo and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Francesco and Annuziata (nee Sesito) Gulla, siblings Francesco (Rosa) Gulla, Giovanni (Vincenza) Gulla, Caterina (Vito) Truglia, Giuseppe Gulla, as well as her special Zio Antonio and Zia Maria Gulla. Maria Luce's family meant the world to her, and she meant the world to them. Her marriage could best be described as inspiring. Many memories were shared over the course of 46 years, but the tours of Italy she took with Livio in their later years created cherished memories to last a lifetime. She was a pillar of her family and will be remembered for being an amazing cook, for family picnics and trips - but most of all, the way she truly treasured her grandchildren as her pride and joy. Some of her favourite times were those where her family gathered together around the table to enjoy the food she had prepared with love. Through her recent health journey, Maria Luce did not complain. She was a strong woman who fought with every fiber of her being to be there for her family, until her last breath. We love you, and you will live on in our hearts. You are now our guardian angel in Heaven. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Monday February 3, 2025 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday February 4, 2025 at 11 am at St. Thomas More Church, followed by the Rite of Committal at Fairview Mausoleum.
