Norman Ross Stalker

Ross passed peacefully on April 20, 2022 at GNGH, in his 94th year. He was the beloved husband of the late Donna Elliott (1994) and companion of the late Eva Simons (2020). Family was everything to him and he will be greatly missed by his daughters Deb, Pat (the late Joey Martin) and Beth (Gary) Webb; and his grandchildren Amanda (Dylan) Boyes and Jeffrey (Raven) Webb. He was adored by his great-grandchildren Colton and Cadence Boyes, who affectionately call him “Great Pops”. He will also be lovingly remembered by Eva’s children: Paul (Holly), Jay (Barb), Scott (Mary), and Lynne (Chris); and their families.

Ross’ extended family and friends will remember him for his kindness and wit. After a successful career of 38 years with Ontario Hydro, he enjoyed almost 36 years of retirement. The last 5 years, he called Queenston Place Retirement Residence his home. He enjoyed the warm, loving atmosphere created by the staff and friends he made there. We truly appreciate it. Unfortunately, Ross’ last 5 months were spent in both GNGH and Douglas Memorial Hospital, which never dampened his positive attitude as he fought to recover.

Friends will be received at the Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Ave. Niagara Falls on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 10 to 11 a.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel following the visiting at 11 a.m. Those attending either are requested to please wear masks. The service will also be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend. A private inurnment at St. James on the Lines Church cemetery in Penetanguishene will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to Women’s Place of South Niagara or the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
