Palma 'Pat' Seguin

SEGUIN, Palma 'Pat' - Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Wednesday April 4, 2018 at the age of 95. Beloved husband of Therese 'Theresa' for 70 years. Dearly loved father of Suzanne Fedorink (Steven Martin) of Mississauga, Patricia Wallington (John Iliffe) of Niagara Falls, Denis (Karen) Seguin of Vineland Station and Gisele Seguin of Gatineau. Cherished grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 13. He is survived by 2 sisters. Predeceased by 3 brothers, 4 sisters and his son-in-law Hank. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Seguin was a veteran of WWII, serving 1939 to 1945 with the United Kingdom Canadian Army as a Private Wireless Radio Field Operator. He also enjoyed a long career with the Cyanamid Company where he was affectionately known as 'The Blacksmith'. He was a long time parishioner of St. Antoine de Padoue Church where he served for many years as a cantor. His love of music was a passion that will be remembered by many. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to call at St. Antoine de Padoue Church visiting Friday April 27, 2018 at 10 to 11 am at St. Antoine de Padoue Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am at the church. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at the GNGH on the Trillium Wing for their compassion and care of their father. In memory of Mr. Seguin, memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer Society and would be appreciated by his family.
