Phyllis Evelyn Higgins

HIGGINS, Phyllis Evelyn - Passed away peacefully at Meadows of Dorchester on May 12, 2017 at the age of 88.  Predeceased by her loving husband Chester (2008) and oldest daughter Lynn (Larry) Doucette of Dartmouth, NS (2016).  Dearly loved mother of Mike, Dave (Linda) and Dan of Niagara Falls, Tom of Barrie and Sue Botari of Saskatoon, SK.  Phyllis will be sadly missed by her 12 grandchildren (Michael, Ryhan, Erin, Sherri, Lisa, Kyle, Michelle, Kate, Paul, Adam, Brandan, and Candice and 11 great-grandchildren.  As a competitive curler, keen golfer and avid swimmer, she made many friends with her sense of fun, biting wit, and fierce loyalty.  Determined, mischievous, hardworking, and caring are a few of the many descriptions that fit her and she will be remembered for her love of family.  Special thanks to the staff at the Meadows of Dorchester for the exceptional physical and emotional care that they provided over the last 7 years.  A Funeral Mass and celebration of Phyllis and Chet Higgins lives will be held at St. Patrick's Church in Niagara Falls on Thursday June 29, 2017 at 10 am.  Online condolences at www.pattersonfuneralhome.com
