I am sorry to hear of Ed's passing.  I have many happy memories of working with Ed at the Niagara Parks Commission.  My condolences to all of his family and friends.

Loretta and family.  Thinking of you during this difficult time.  Stoney was always smiling and pleasant and especially courageous in facing his illness head on.  We will miss him  at our retiree luncheons.  He always spoke so proudly of his family.  RIP Stoney.

Ed, was a quiet, gentle man who was Loved by all that knew him. He accepted what was, with 'Love and Gratitude' and a Smile.. He didn't fight, ever, it just wasn't in him. He believed 'Think GOOD Thoughts, No Matter What, with Love and Gratitude'   He said the night before he passed of a Stroke, to his brother Greg, he was OK. He had Cancer since 2011, so he beat all odds.  He never complained of Pain, or asked for anything.. He was always Positive. His Family was everything to him, He Loved us all So Much.  He will be missed.

My heartfelt sympathies to the family.  I worked with Stoney for many many years, he was a wonderful person.  Many memories from the Parks with Stoney.   I am so sorry to say that I am unable to attend the services for Stoney, as I am out of town for Thanksgiving.  This is the weekend that I lost my mom, 30 years ago and its the memories of her that bring a smile to my face.  Hang on to those beautiful memories of Stoney to help you through and make you smile. Ed was a neighbour of ours for over 39 years.  He was always a gentleman and a good friend.  Whenever we needed him he was there.....without us asking.... he just showed up.  He was a wonderful human being, friend and father.  His family meant everything to him and he always put them first.  We will never forget you Ed.  Our children were and are best friends.  I cant imagine what Shirley Avenue is going to be like without you.  We've lost another angel.

So sorry to hear about Mr.Burke's ( Ed ) passing away  .. he was a great neighbour and family friend for many , MANY years . He was also a great human being who helped my parents when my Dad had cancer .. and even when my Dad died and Ed had Cancer himself , he found the strength to help do my Mother's driveway in the freezing cold many times !!!!   Now in my books  THAT IS A GREAT MAN !!   R.I.P. Ed .. say hi to my Dad for me please !
