Richard Cardwell

CARDWELL, Richard - Passed away unexpectedly at the Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga on Sunday July 10, 2016 at the age of 72.  Beloved husband of 51 years to Gloria.  Cherished father of Carrie Benner and Carlee (Chad) Alderson.  Loving grandfather of Nick, Katelyn, Kiera, Blythe, Bethany and Marie-Claire.  He will be sadly missed by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Sandra (Tad) Stangret, Frank (Donna) Rosianna, Rosemary (Rick) Richardson, Jerry (Helen) Rosianna and Christine Sweitzer, as well as many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Mel and Hazel, father-in-law Nick and mother-in-law Mary, brother Leroy and his wife Joan, son-in-law David Benner, and brother-in-law Paul Sweitzer.  Mr. Cardwell was an employee of Hayes Dana for over 35 years, was an avid player of hockey and enjoyed hunting and fishing.Cremation has taken place.  Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Friday 10 am to 12 pm.  A Funeral Service in celebration will be held at 12 pm at the funeral home.  In memory of Mr. Cardwell, memorial contributions may be made to Tender Wishes, and would be appreciated by his family.  Online condolences at www.pattersonfuneralhome.com
