Richard Powell

On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, in his 90th year, Richard passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Pauline (2021) after 56 years of marriage. Remembered as the cherished father of Joanne Dilts (Andrew) (2020) and Jeffrey, and adored grandfather of Ashleigh (Josh), Rebecca (Tylor), Hannah, and Charlie. Richard was the beloved brother of Melissa (Tom) (2016) and Dan Powell (Linda). He will be dearly missed by his brother-in-law Peter (Sherril), sister-in-law Sue (Peter), as well as many nieces and nephews. His dear Scottie Bonnie will also feel his absence. Richard's three years of service in the RCAF cultivated his passion for mechanics and tinkering. He also enjoyed photography, wine making, and Scottie dogs. Above all, he will be remembered for the profound love he had for his family and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Home & Chapel. (5176 Victoria Ave. Niagara Falls, ON.) from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A burial of ashes to take place at a later date. In memory of Richard donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
