Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Sunday, August 22, 2021 after 30,014 days on Earth. Beloved husband of MaryDolores (nee Mannella). Loving father of Cassandra Leigh, John Robert and Linda Byers. Bob is survived by his other children: Brenda, Barbara, Brian, and Karen, his numerous grandchildren and his great-granddaughter Amelia. Predeceased by his sister Irene and his parents John and Dolly Byers. He will be lovingly remembered by his father and mother in law Tony and Lydia Mannella; his extended Mannella family, and by his many devoted friends.
Bob's life was truly full, enjoying special moments with his family and friends; serving as a member of the Caledonia Police Department and in later years driving for Coach Canada.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel. The service is viewable online. A private burial at Fairview Cemetery will follow. If desired, memorial donations made to McMaster Children’s Hospital, - Pediatric IBD Clinic would be appreciated by the family.
