We were so sorry to read the news in the Stratford paper of your Dad's death. We are the McEwin side of the family relatives.  There were many a  fun time at parties with the Montgomery family.  Your Dad will be greatly missed!  We would love to meet your families when you come to Stratford for the interment. Please let us know.

My deepest sympathies to Chris, Charlotte, Rob and David et al. I shall cherish Bob's friendship and his generosity. May God bring to a place of peace and light the soul He has summoned to go forth from this world.

I remember Bob Montgomery -- always "Mr. Montgomery" to me -- very well.  I was a regular customer at the drugstore -- the original narrow shop and the bigger one later on -- as a boy and teenager.  It was a community focal point for the north end of town.  I remember Mrs. Montgomery's Town and Country department store as well.  I went to school with Rob jr. -- I remember playing at the house on Marlborough, and seeing Christina there -- and my brother knew Charlotte at Myer.  Bob Montgomery always had a smile for me and always took an interest in me whenever he saw me at the store or around town.  I had the pleasure of speaking with both Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery a few years ago at Costco in St. Catharines.  I always thought of them as two fine people, and I'm sure the family will miss their Dad (and Granddad) as they miss their Mom (and Grandma).  I trust that with the sadness there will also be many happy memories.  My thoughts are with Rob jr. and the rest of the family as they remember Bob Montgomery.

I worked with "bob" for a number of years at "mackinnon guardian drugs" and even though he retired from there ,he remained one of our favourite customers & friend. I will miss chatting with him and his smile. We have truly lost a kind & gentle soul .
