Ronald 'Ron' Bruce MacKenzie

MacKenzie, Ronald 'Ron' Bruce - Passed away peacefully at Bella Senior Care Residence on Friday February 19, 2016 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of 65 years to Anna (Demizio) MacKenzie. Dearly loved father of Warren (Debbie) MacKenzie, Ronald (Carolyn) MacKenzie, Karen (Robert) Cort and the late Bruce MacKenzie (1952). Cherished Papa of Richard, Jaclyn (Justin), Morgan, Reed, Ryan, Lauren, Trevor, Dale and Todd. Dear brother-in-law of Angela (the late Frank) Sommise, Carmel (Joe) McHale and Rose MacKenzie. Lovingly remembered by four generations of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents James and Ellen MacKenzie, his in-laws Michele and Anna Demizio, his brothers James, Bill, George, Norman and Ray and his sister Margaret. Ron had worked as a military policeman for the U.S. Army and had been a longtime volunteer with the G.N.B.A. spending countless hours working in the canteen at Oakes Park. He was also a devout parishioner for many years at Our Lady of Peace Church. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Ron, donations to The Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by his family.
