Sandra Belle Janke

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Janke (nee MacIver), who passed peacefully on May 17, 2026 at the age of 85.

Sandra was the beloved wife of Walter Janke for 63 loving years, settling their life in Niagara Falls. Sandra is predeceased by her parents John and Beatrice MacIver along with siblings Marion Haley, Norma Crowley (survived by Ray), Kenneth (Doris) MacIver and Janet McKeag.

Sandra will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews ( Ian, Stephen, Kim, Ron, Randy, Shari, Sheila, Laura, Rhonda, Jason and Tara) along with great nieces and nephews.

Sandra worked many years at the Royal Bank of Canada. Those who knew her, will remember her for her unconditional love of family and her ability to make everyone feel welcomed. She enjoyed time spent with friends, some of whom joined her and Walt on many travel adventures. Her kindness was genuine and she wore her heart on her sleeve often helping when in need. Sandra’s kindness, care and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

In keeping with Sandra's wishes, cremation has taken place.

Family and friends will be received at Hetherington and Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls on Friday June 12th 2026 from 10:00am -11:00am. A memorial service will take place in the funeral chapel at 11:00 am followed by inurnment at Fairview Mausoleum, 4764 Portage Road, Niagara Falls.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society in Sandra’s memory.

Sandra will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
