Dear Traci,  I just heard about Sam  today from Franca.  I am so sorry. My condolences to you and your family. 

Our time goes back to Prospect st. We spent many times just talking about everything and everyone. He truly was a thinker and had a great perspective on everything. I can never ever forget Sam...it was a gift from God having the opportunity to know him.  My heart goes out to his entire family.

I am so very sorry and sad for Traci and the Leone/Mullane family. I worked with Sam for many years while I was at the Queenston Bridge. He knew the job well, carried out his duties with integrity and was very much respected by us all. We would see his brother Vito crossing from time to time at the Whirlpool Bridge and we would always ask about Sam, how he was doing and sending our good thoughts and kind regards. Sam personified "gentle" in the word gentleman!

He was a man who was quick with a firm handshake, honest, friendly, generous, and kind to everyone. I regret not pursuing a closer friendship with him. Our love and prayers go out to his family. Please accept the deepest condolences from the Boles family. 

I only met Sam a handful of times over the years. One memory comes to mind of sitting on the patio at the Leone's. Chatting about gardening, plants, and politics with Michael and Sam. Despite not knowing Sam very well, he was warm, welcoming, engaging, and sincere. I'm fortunate to have been acquainted.
