Stewart Gerald Gosse

GOSSE, Stewart Gerald - Passed away after a lengthy illness at the Hamilton General Hospital on Monday July 31, 2017 at the age of 79. Dear husband of Sharon (nee Wilkinson) Gosse for 54 years and loving father of the late Allan (1980). Gerry attended elementary and high school in Chambly, QC and went on the McGill College to obtain a Metallurgist degree and Teachers degree. He then decided to enter the Royal Roads Military College to become a paratrooper and received and Engineering degree. After leaving the Armed Forces, he continued his career with Delta Airlines until retirement. He held several positions in his early career such as Surveyor and Town Planner, as well as teaching and he was quite involved with the Shiners. His last few years were spent between Florida and Canada. His latest place of residence was Black Creek Village between Fort Erie and Welland. Gerry and Sharon made many friends wherever they lived. They loved traveling, water skiing, hockey, tennis, golf and mostly relaxing with a good book. Gerry would like to thank all the wonderful people (too many to mention by name), his friends, doctors, nurses and support workers during his most recent illness. A very trusted young friend Tylor Daigle and special guardians of his estate Huguette and Rudolph Brauweiler were his strength in the last few weeks. Gerry's wish was to be cremated and his ashes scattered with those of his son Allan, in St. Hubert, QC.
