Ted C. Stewart

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his residence on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 a few short days from his 81st birthday. Loving husband for almost 61 years to Marion Stewart (nee Whitley). Beloved father of Cindy Solose (Tom) of Florida, Joanne Geyer (Brian) of Niagara Falls, Lori Walker (James) of Windsor, Barbara Peters (Helmut) of Niagara Falls, Bill Stewart (Heather) of Hamilton, Sandra Lauzon (Gilles) of Niagara Falls, and the late Chuck Stewart (1974). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Julie, Amy, Kevin, Jennifer, Alex, Jimmie, Jeff, Carrie, Marcie, Michelle, Kelly, Brandon, Lyndsay, Amanda, & Kayla; and by his 10 great grandchildren. Ted is survived by his brother-in-law Wray Whitley (Agnes) of BC and fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers James, Bill, & Alec; and by his sister Edna.

Family and friends will be received at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue on Sunday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 1 o’clock. Cremation to follow with a private interment in Fairview Cemetery to be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
