McDONALD, Terence Mark 'Ramsey' - It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of a wonderful man and gifted musician, Terry 'Ramsey' McDonald at the age of 66 on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Douglas Memorial Hospital, Fort Erie. Surrounded by family and friends, my soulmate peacefully entered God’s Kingdom. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Anna (Pearson) McDonald and his son Arley McDonald. He will be greatly missed by his wife Diane (Nestor) and his children Jason (Alyssa) McDonald, Amie (Kyle Boichuk), Kate (Darryl) Lewis, Layal McDonald and Chris McDonald, step daughters Amy (Aime Lufulwabo) Tepper and Emily (Zach Point) Tepper and his grandchildren, Jacob, Aiden, Briar, Ozzie, Alice and Autumn. He leaves behind his brothers Lorne (Patsy) McDonald, Wayne (Shirley Rochon) McDonald, sisters Joyce (Wilf) Edwards and Elaine (Art) Bergin and his many, nieces, nephews and cousins and, of course, his multitude of friends. Terry’s love of his music through guitar, banjo and singing has enriched so many lives. His accomplishments including performing in Nashville and the Havelock Jamboree were a joy for him, together with playing Merlin in Little Theatre and being part of the movie 'Men with Beards'. Music was his life. He composed so many memorable songs that will be remembered and stand as a testimony to his immense talent. Terry was always there, arranging benefits or attending benefits for his friends and anyone in need. A very special thanks to Dr. Scher and all the nurses and staff at Douglas Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their wonderful compassion and commitment to his care. Visitation will take place at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls on Friday March 11, 2016 between 1 and 4 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. in the chapel. Cremation to follow. In memory of Terry, memorial contributions may be made to the Music Gives Program at the Niagara Conservatory of Music. Online condolences at www.pattersonfuneralhome.com
