CORTESE, Vincenzo 'Vince' - Our family is deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather. Vince passed away, surrounded by his loving family, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Thursday February 12, 2015 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of 56 years to Annita (DeFazio) Cortese. Dearly loved father of Maria (Frank) Gallo, Frances Cortese, Rosanne Cortese-McLaughlin, Domenic Cortese and Pat (Barb) Cortese. Cherished grandfather of Giovanni, Michael, Francesco, Roberto, J.D., Allana, Alissa, Tommy and Cole. Dear brother of Frank Cortese, Nick (Rose) Cortese, Paul (Millie) Cortese, Tony (Lorinda) Cortese, Lena (Manny) Trotta, Rose (Jimmy) DePergola and Benny (Cathy) Cortese and brother-in-law of Dora Cortese. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Tommaso, Mario and his wife Dolores and his sister-in-law Pam Cortese. Vince had worked at General Motors retiring after more than 25 years of service. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be celebrated at 3:45 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church.
