Wanda Eileen (McCaw) Canham

Died peacefully at her daughter Brenda’s house, just shy of her 95th birthday. Predeceased by her husband Ormond (2008) and her brother Douglas (2008). Beloved mother of Brenda (Michael) Lococo. Loving and caring Nan to Eric Scott Canham (Ashley). Loving G-Ma of Patience and Lyrik. Mother of Nancy (Lorne) Bailey of Niagara Falls and David Canham of Ingersol. She also leaves behind her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also mourning her death is her loving and caring sister Jean Paterno. Wanda also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank Dr. Girard, Lorenza, Laurel, the Paramed staff, and her Palliative Care team.

Wanda is resting at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel; 5176 Victoria Ave., Niagara Falls for visiting on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 2-4 and 6 – 9 p.m.; by appointment only. In accordance with current Covid 19 restrictions, guests must call the funeral home directly at 905-354-5614 to schedule a visiting time. All guests are required to register upon arrival and wear a face mask before entering the funeral home. Please remain in your vehicle until a member of the staff instructs you into the funeral home. A private Funeral Service will be held with burial to follow at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 479 would be appreciated by the family.

Our sympathies to all of Wanda's family on your loss. Wanda was a very special woman. She always made us feel so welcome whenever we would visit her at her home. She had a big heart and was a true friend to my Mom and me for nearly70 years!

I'm sorry to hear of your Mom's passing, she and your Dad had been neighbours for a lot of years. It seems whenever I travelled down Mulhern St, I would see her outside, out for a walk or just taking a rest. She'll be missed in the neighbourhood.

Your mother was one of the kindest moms. When we were kids she always made me feel welcome. I never saw her get mad. May she fly high with angels!!!!
