Wardine, in her 96th year, was the beloved wife of the late Jack Blain (2019). Devoted mother of Barbara (Dave Crawford), the late Jim (2018) (Kathy Blain), the late Cherryl (2021) (Gerry McKeown), and Shelley (Rick Horeczy). Cherished grandmother of Adam, Ryan, Brooke, Andrew, Brent, Matt, Jordan, Andrea and Brian. Wardine was the proud and much loved “Great Grams” of Joonmo, Bennett, Reed, Blake, Lily, Stanley, Kylie, Leo, Quinn, Amelia and Hannah. She will forever be remembered for her unconditional love of her family and of animals, especially dogs and horses. All of which brought abundant joy to her beautiful life. A heartfelt thank you to the caring and compassionate staff and private support staff at Stamford Estates.
In keeping with Wardine’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls (905-354-5614) on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the chapel service to celebrate Wardine’s life at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment at Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (to honour Wardine’s late son and daughter) or to the Niagara SPCA and Humane Society would be appreciated.
