William James Jarrett

With heavy hearts, but gratitude for a life well lived, the family of William James Jarrett announces his passing on Tuesday, July 21, 2015.Bill was in his 88th year when he lost his brief, harsh battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jean Jarrett (nee Thorburn) and his children Glenn Jarrett (Debbie), Gail Green (Dale), Bill Jarrett Jr. (Christine) and Barbara Jarrett. Bill will be sorely missed by his 13 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and extensive family and friends.

Bill was born in Dunnville, ON on April 30, 1928 and spent most of his early years in the Niagara Falls area. He began his working career at Kimberly-Clark of Canada and completed 40 years with the company, retiring from the Rexdale Mill. Bill and Jean were married on June 19, 1948 and celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary. Throughout his life Bill's passion was his family and beloved island on Caribou Lake. In their golden years they enjoyed extensive travel together.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5176 Victoria Ave., Niagara Falls, Ontario

Visitation will be at 12:00 p.m., Service at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Chippawa Presbyterian Church.
