Audrey Wilcox

Audrey Madge Wilcox, 86, passed away Jan. 17 2018 at Fairview Skilled Nursing Facility after living with Alzheimers for many years. Audrey had previously been a resident of Waterford most of her life.

Audrey was born March 19, 1931 in Tarrytown NY, the daughter of Rufus and Lulu Madge(Crowell) Wilcox.

She had been employed during her life by The Seaside, Niantic Correctional Institution, and the Zoology Department at Connecticut College as a secretary.

Audrey loved the ocean, flowers, going to the movies, volunteering at the Garde Theater, and traveling.

She is survived by her daughter, Faye (Goldstein) Nolan of Berlin NH and Surfside Beach SC, a son Ronald Goldstein and wife Joan of Rye NY, sisters Joann Hodge of Waterford CT, and Alice Salews of Conway SC, grandsons Kyle Nolan, Jack Goldstein, and Alex Goldstein.

A funeral service will be held at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Service, 13 Lake Ave, Niantic CT on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11 AM. An hour of visitation will be held one hour prior in the funeral home from 10 AM until 11 AM.

Burial will follow in Jordan Cemetery, Boston Post Road, Waterford Ct.

Donations can be made in her name to any Alzheimer fund of your choice or Fairview Skilled Nursing Facility.
