Carolyn M. Thompson

She was born on November 27, 1939, in Whitinsville, MA, the daughter of Jenny and Daniel J. Saunders.

She moved to Southeast CT when she was young and graduated from New London High School in 1957. Carolyn worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Tracor/Vitro, then later at Mohegan Sun, retiring when she was 66.

She is survived by her brother Richard Saunders of Westbrook, CT, her four children, Rhandi Laiti of New London, CT, Sherri Thompson of Morgantown, WV, Todd Thompson of Waterford, CT, and Scott Thompson of Niantic, CT. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Andrew Laiti and Riley Thompson, and her two great-grandchildren Zachary and Caleb Laiti.

Carolyn was an avid reader and also enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles. She also loved going to the beach. In retirement Carolyn started following pro Tennis and became a daily watcher of the Tennis Channel. She also was a true New England Patriots fan and would cheer them on every Sunday during the season. She also had a love for cats and truly missed her two kitties Liddy and Cali.
