Charles was born on August 21, 1928, in New London, the son of Charles Kelley and Elizabeth (Conroy) Kelley.
He graduated from New London School of Business and was last employed as a cost accountant for United Nuclear Corp prior to retirement. Charles served in the Naval Reserve at the submarine base in Groton. He was a communicant of St. Agnes Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Stephen Kelley (Monica) of Colchester and Richard Kelley of New London; grandchildren Patrick Kelley (Arianna), Timothy Kelley (Koree), Daniel Kelley (Kylie), Christopher Kelley, all of Los Angeles, and Sarah Kelley of Colchester; and five great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 18th at 10am in St. Agnes Church, 22 Haigh Ave., Niantic. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Niantic.
