Elizabeth Rose August

Elizabeth Rose was born on January 20, 1934 to the parents of Grandville and Elsie Morris. She spent her childhood in Niantic Connecticut where she enjoyed spending time with her toy Fox Terrier, being outdoors at the beach and sailing. Elizabeth also worked in her Father’s grocery store. Elizabeth graduated high school from the Williams School. She attended university at Brown and then transferred to University of Connecticut. Elizabeth earned her bachelor’s degree and Masters degree in Education. Elizabeth taught in the elementary school system for a number of years. In 1956 she married Stephen August. She was married for 62 years until Stephen passed in 2018. Elizabeth is survived by her two children (Stephen August and Stephanie Miller) and her loving family: Sister Charlotte and James Shea, Brother Granville and Judy Morris, Niece Rebecca and Ed Bogaert, niece Melissa, Nephew Todd and Tammy Shea and Nephew Jimmy Shea. Elizabeth will be greatly missed by all. We love you
