Born in Guilford, Connecticut on December 9, 1942 Jack was the son of the late John C. Wagner Jr. and Dorthea Lawrence Wagner. Jack served with pride and honor in the United States Army from 1961 to 64. After serving in the Army, Jack relocated in Patchague, Long Island where he became a deli manager at Pathmark. Jack loved anything football and was avid fan of the New York Giants. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family.
Besides his beloved wife Christina of 32 years, Jack is survived by his two children, Vincent Wagner and his wife Laura of Huntington, CA and Michelle Castiglione and her husband Joseph of Holtsville, NY. Jack has seven grandchildren; Bryan, Joseph, Thomas, Christopher, Adam, Caroline and Crystal. Also survived by his sister Brenda Lane and her husband Bob of Bluffton SC and his niece Lisa Houlihan of Denver, CO.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 21st from 2 - 4 and 7- 9 at the Fulton-Theroux in Niantic. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 22nd at 11AM in St. Agnes Church, Niantic. Burial with Full Military Honors to follow at State Veteran Cemetery in Middletown, CT.
