I really enjoyed her company at our Christmas luncheons and her stories of Amy's childhood. She will be missed.

The passing of a loved one makes us reflect on our own life, take the time to remember the joy her life brought to all those around her.

Joan was always a welcome addition to our official Navy gatherings. She fit right in with the rest of the rough-and-tumble Mustangs and didn't take any lip! We will surely miss her at our next gathering. Fair Winds and Following Seas Joan, rest in peace.

Knowing Joan takes me back to our high school days. Dot, Joan and myself were always together and became known as the "Three Musketeers." We attended St. John's Lutheran Church together, sang in the choir together as alto's. I enjoyed Joan's quirky sense of humor, which I see Amy is perpetuating. I will always remember her until we meet again.

" Kudos" to the person that wrote the obit in the paper. It was very well writtten ! Normally don't read them if I don't know the person but I found it captivating. Joan sounded like a wonderful woman. I'm sure she is proud My condolences.

Though I never spent as much time in Joan's company as I would have liked, I will always remember her warm hospitality with gratitude, and her humour with a chuckle. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this sad time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Although I only meet Joan in recent years, it was delightful to spend time talking and laughing with her. I feel blessed to have witnessed such an act of true love between a Mother and daughter.
