She was born on July 12, 1915, the daughter of Royce and Carrie Beebe Beckwith.
Mrs. Hoffman was the widow of Wesley W. Hoffman.
She was a longtime member of Niantic Baptist Church. She was a talented needle worker and crafter. She was an excellent cook, and in addition to working in the Niantic Center School cafeteria, she also sold pastries from her home.
Mrs. Hoffman is survived by her son Lee R. Hoffman of Paoli, PA; her sister Harriett Chapman of Niantic; her grandchildren Bethany McGinley, Brent and Brooke Hoffman; and 5 great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her son Gene T. Hoffman.
