Miss Powell was my "second mother" when I visited her.  My own mother does not talk due to dementia.  I will miss telling her about our barn cats and their antics, my own cats' antics, and the seasonal work on the farm.  I will miss watching the cooking shows and trying to figure out what we would make with the mismatched ingredients and who would win the contests. I will miss her smile and her energy. I am saddened to learn of Lynne's passing.  Having worked with her at the Edward Malley store, I enjoyed many a Sunday dinner and art lesson with her and her father.  She was kind enough to paint a picture for my mother and gifted me with one of her early works.  It was an honor and a pleasure to know Lynne.
