March 11, 1965 – January 2, 2021
Nancy Ann Starace died on January 2, 2021. "NO ANGEL COULD REPLACE NANCY WITH THE LAUGHIN' FACE." She was born in 1965, together with her 6-minute older twin sister, Carrie Ann Starace, to Marianna and Anthony Starace on her dad's birthday, March 11. Nancy was predeceased by her birth mother Marianna, in 1998. She was then blessedly and lovingly cared for by her dad and her family and, in later years, with incredible love and devotion by her dad's second wife, Victoria Miske Starace. She was also predeceased by her grandparents, Millie and Joseph Starace and Duilio and Angelina Sarrantonio, and her aunt and uncles, Valerio Sarrantonio, Edward Marlowe and Timothy and Anita Drown. In addition to her parents, Victoria and Anthony and her sister Carrie, she is survived by her aunts and uncles, Barbara Sarrantonio, Mary Ann and James D'Amato and Joseph Starace, Jr., and by several cousins.
Despite significant health and intellectual disabilities, she led a full and happy life and laughed freely and often. She was sweet, generous in spirit, funny, sensitive and caring. Nancy was brave, suffered pain with grace and dignity and loved freely. She loved to go to parties, talk to everyone and anyone, read, dine out and at home with company. She especially loved going on adventures, usually with "Auntie Barbara," whether it be the beach, plays, concerts, aquariums, museums, the zoo or shopping - almost anything. She loved her family and was as close to Carrie as any human could possibly be. Nancy made all of us better people and made all our lives richer. She was dearly loved by all.
The family sends its thanks to all the doctors, nurses, aides and friends who helped in Nancy's care, but especially Christie Cotton-Gonzalez. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospital for Special Care, 2150 Corbin Ave., New Britain, CT 06053, or to any charity benefiting the disabled.
Due to Covid-19, a graveside service will be held privately at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will follow at a later date.

Nancy was sweetness, goodness and innocence personified. She is irreplaceable, and life as we know it is empty without her.
